Sandlot Fun Days

We are proud to present our Sandlot Fun Days!! Plan to join us in July for some free baseball that will provide a fun environment where the players can just go play!

Parents, caregivers, and families are vital to the Little League experience. For the Braves and Bears Little League Sandlot Fun Days experience, though, that involvement stops at the parking lot. As hard as it is, that means the only thing that should be coming from the bleachers are some words of encouragement for everyone on the field, no coaching, yelling, umpiring, or trying to influence what’s happening on the field. Each Sandlot Fun Day will have at least one approved local Little League volunteer present at the game site to oversee the activities. Those adults’ role is to help make sure the players are following proper safety guidelines and keep the games moving.

SCHEDULE

Start Date: July 1
End Date: July 30

All game times should start by 6:15. Plan to arrive early to sign the sign-up sheet.

Coach Pitch Division (Ages 7-9) will play on Tuesdays / Thursdays
Player Pitch Division (Ages 9-12) will play on Mondays / Wednesdays
- Catcher position will depend on equipment availability)

DETAILS

- Braves and Bears Little League will provide access to our three fields at Cheshire Elementary, including setup of bases.
- Braves and Bears Little League will only provide baseballs. No other playing equipment will be provided (bats, gloves, uniforms, catcher's gear, etc.)
-  Batters must wear helmets.
-  Catchers (if that position is fielded) must wear appropriate catcher’s equipment as outlined in the current Little League Rulebook.
-  Pitch counts or inning restrictions must be followed as outlined in the current Little League Rulebook.
-  Proper pitching distances must be followed.
