GENERAL INFORMATION
- Minimum of one team practice per week, usually on a weekday evening.
- Full baseball uniform is provided, which includes one (1) of the following per participant: hat, jersey, pant, belt, pair of socks. Parents provide glove and cleats. Some parents may also choose to purchase a bat for their child to use.
"JUNIOR" TEE BALL DIVISION - BASEBALL (AGES 4-6)
The "Junior" Tee Ball Division of Olentangy Little League offers a fun, instructional baseball league for players who are either new to the sport or still refining the basic skills. Tee Ball is a non-competitive league designed to provide a foundation and introduction to baseball that is grounded on fun, fitness, and fundamentals. Players will be introduced to the basics of baseball in a structured learning environment while incorporating a high level of physical activity and hopefully develop a love of the game. The ages for this division is between 4 and 6 years old.
"SENIOR" TEE BALL DIVISION - BASEBALL (AGES 5-6)
The "Senior" Tee Ball Division of Olentangy Little League offers a fun, instructional league for players who are still refining the basic skills of baseball and are looking for a more advanced program. This non-competitive league introduces a limited number of pitches by the coach to the player and the concept of retired batters and runners. The ages for this division is 5 and 6 years old.
"AA" MINOR DIVISION - COACH PITCH - BASEBALL (AGES 7-8)
The "AA" Minor Division of Olentangy Little League fosters continued skills development and a better understanding of the rules and nuances of the game. The focus remains on the fun of playing baseball while more coaching attention is given to fielding, making plays, accurate throwing, proper hitting technique and preparing the player for player-pitch at the "AAA" level. The ages for this division are 7 and 8 years old.
*Little League Age 6 participants are welcome to play "AA" Minor Division Baseball if they have played one year of T-Ball and pass a safety evaluation. Alternatively, Little League Age 6 participants who attend evaluations are eligible to temporarily play up in the "AA" Minor Division as part of the "AA" Replacement Player Pool. If you would like your 6 year-old to be considered eligible for the "AA" Player Pool, please notify your head coach and contact our league Player Agent.*
"AAA" MINOR DIVISION - PLAYER PITCH - BASEBALL (AGES 9-10)
The "AAA" Minor Division of Olentangy Little League is where a higher level of game understanding and ability is taught. Competition as it relates to winning and losing is introduced at this level. Winning and losing remain secondary to the essential goal of teaching each player to embrace success or failure with grace and to learn from both. Primary goals are to give players as much experience and playing time as possible and encouragement of ongoing development for all players in all phases of the game. This important developmental division provides a relatively even but not necessarily equal distribution of playing time among players. "AAA" includes player pitch, scoring and umpiring. By the end of their time in this division, players are expected to have refined their skills so they may successfully participate at the "Major" division level.
Olentangy Little League has an option to choose a Tournament Team (or "All Stars") of full-time players from within this division and the team may enter the State Tournament.

MAJOR DIVISION - PLAYER PITCH - BASEBALL (AGES 11-12)
The Major Division of Olentangy Little League promotes a higher level of competition than "AAA" and emphasizes more of the standard rules from Major League Baseball. Within this more competitive environment, the emphasis remains on improving baseball skills, building individual self-esteem, promoting team camaraderie and emphasizing fair play. The division is designed to be both the satisfying culmination of some players' Little League careers and to prepare other players for higher levels of play including advancement in Little League Tournament play and readiness to move up to play on the full 90 foot diamond.
Olentangy Little League has an option to choose a Tournament Team (or "All Stars") of full-time players from within this division and the team may enter the International Tournament.
*Little League Age 10 participants who attend evaluations are eligible to temporarily play up in the Major Division as part of the Major Replacement Player Pool.
